Responsibilities

The Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART) Centre invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate position in the area of crystallization science and particle engineering. The successful candidate will be expected to work on the design and engineering of advanced microparticle-based pharmaceutical drug products comprising matrices containing crystalline or amorphous drug particles, made using multiphase microfluidic methods. This work will be conducted in close collaboration with a pharmaceutical company sponsor. He/she will be reporting to Prof. Patrick S. Doyle (MIT, SMART) and Prof Saif A. Khan (NUS, SMART) and work with their team of researchers and collaborators.

Requirements

Candidates with an earned PhD degree in Chemical/Materials Engineering, ideally with a background in crystallization science, microfluidics, materials characterization and drug product formulation/delivery. The successful candidate should be able to be involved and/or supervise more junior researchers in all aspects of research.
