Project Overview
We are looking for a passionate and innovative Research Intern to join our team in exploring cutting-edge research in the field of GenAI for future cities. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the generative AI, synthetic data, computer vision, and large multi-modal models. The successful candidate will work closely with our research team, contributing to the global sustainable development goals (SDG) aimed at enhancing adaptability, efficiency, and functionality in real-world applications.
Responsibilities
- Collect, align and clean satellite data from multiple data sources
- Collect, align and clean global economic and energy data
- Implement and compare state-of-the-art baseline models
- Tuning GenAI models' hyper-parameters (and network structures) to achieve the best performance
- Undertake other relevant data analytics and visualization tasks
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Data science, Computer science, Automation, Geophysics, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with python packages (e.g., osm, geopandas, pytorch, opencv) and a understanding of GenAI.
- Familiarity with prototyping and an interest in GenAI or computer vision.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and a keen interest in bio-inspired design.
This internship is only open to full-time matriculated or registered students in the six autonomous universities Singapore. The internship must be approved by the University.
