Project Overview
We are looking for a research intern to work in the "AI for Human Capital Development in Future of Work" team under the Mens, Manus, and Machina (M3S) program. M3S, an interdisciplinary research group launched in July 2023 under MIT's SMART program in Singapore, aims to apply AI and machine learning practically, inspired by MIT's motto "Mens et manus" (mind and hand). This initiative focuses on addressing crucial questions related to technology design, human skill development, and societal adaptation in the context of AI, automation, and robotics.
Amongst other research topics, the “AI for Human Capital Development in Future of Work” team focuses on the use and impact of AI on the future of Education.
Job Description
· Explore the state-of-the-art in education pedagogy research, particularly on the use of AI at all levels of learning, from primary to university education.
· Work with partners to collect, clean, process and analyze data to understand the current situation for groups of students.
· Design experiments using AI and ML techniques to perform various analyses and generate valuable insights and actions.
· Collaborate with graduate and undergraduate students at MIT and in Singapore, and other SMART post-docs and research engineers.
Job Requirements
- Current final year undergraduate, full-time Masters or PhD student in Computer Science, with specific focus on data analysis using deep learning-based algorithms.
- Keen interest and understanding of the latest state-of-the-art ML algorithms for data analysis and prediction.
- Excellent communication and teamwork
This role is based in Singapore and appointment is based on the internship period approved by the universities with the possibility of renewal and extension subject to maintaining full time student status.
