HK CE Carrie Lam visits CREATE

Waving ceremoniously from the SMART self-driving buggy, Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam smiled gamely for photographers.

Here as part of the two-day visit to Singapore, Mrs Lam, rode on the autonomous vehicle with Singapore Defence Minister Teo Chee Hean, at the CREATE foyer.

This was her first official trip since she was sworn in on Jul 1, and also the first time in nine years that a Hong Kong chief executive has been to Singapore.

SMART FM PI Joseph Ferreira did the honours of introducing her to autonomous vehicle and expounded on the usefulness of mobility-on-demand.

Following the short ride, Mrs Lam left with her entourage to catch her plane back to Hong Kong.
