That essentially sums up SMART’s first-ever REMix as the MIT and SMART faculty, as well as the research teams reached out to partners to dream, design and develop impactful solutions.
The REMix featured rapid-fire faculty perspectives on:
• Autonomy
• Sensor-systems & Analytics
• Biomedical Innovation
Underpinning the talks was the key message that technology is maturing fast, hence propelling SMART’s innovations now into the commercial realm is imperative.
Tonio Buonassisi, SMART LEES Principal Investigator, elaborates: “To accelerate materials development, technologies have been in development for decades, but are coming of age today. Diagnosis, process optimisation and discovery are three areas that are ripe for disruption with this convergence in technology.”
